A psychiatrist treats thoughts, feeling and behaviors when they are not working right. He/she uses methods such as talk therapy, medications, electricity and sometimes even strong magnets to treat them. Even meditation is being used nowadays. Just like people get physically ill when body is not working right, people get mentally ill when thoughts and feelings are not working right. We can’t see other persons thoughts and feelings, but we can still know them by asking them how they think and how they feel so that we can help them with it. The thoughts and feelings are subtle and a psychiatrist should be very sensitive and treat people with great respect and compassion.

Physician Assistants (PA’s) work similar to doctors.  A PA will see you when you are sick. They can order tests and x-rays.  They can perform minor surgeries and they can even write prescriptions. It takes a Medical Doctor 8 years of schooling AFTER High School and another 4-6 years of specialized training before they are able to work on their own in that specialty.  (That’s 24 years of school!) Because a Physician Assistant works with a Doctor, they only need 6 years of schooling after High School and need to pass a final exam to become licensed. A PA can work in any medical specialty such as Family Practice, Pediatrics (Doctors for kids), Surgery and even the Emergency Department just to name a few. Physician Assistants are in high demand, meaning that there are a lot of jobs for them!  The average income for a PA in California is approximately $115,000 per year! Many PA’s make even more than that!

What is Physical Therapy? Physical therapists are highly trained, licensed specialists who focus on helping people enjoy their lives, free from pain, limitations, or dysfunction. Physical Therapists focus on relieving pain, retraining movement, and restoring function for each of their patients. The main goal for Physical Therapists is to help each patient enjoy their life, pain free. This may include helping an athlete return to the sport they love after an injury, allowing a firefighter to return to work after surgery, or helping a mother care for her child without pain.

Hi my name is Paul Anderson. For the last 15 years I have been working with people to help them save and grow their money. People grow their money by buying things that increase in value. It is important that people save for the future, because not everybody can work until they are really old and those people will need to pay for things with their savings. Money in your piggy bank doesn’t grow, it adds up, but money in a savings account can grow by 1 % or more, the bank pays for the growth. There are other ways to grow the money even more over time.
